Omega Aerial Refueling Services Now Refueling MV-22B Osprey

Omega Aerial Refueling Services is now providing aerial refueling services for the MV-22B Osprey. U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey aircraft from the ‘Golden Eagles’ of VMM-162 first received fuel from Omega’s KC-707 aircraft over the California desert on Friday, November 11, 2016.


Omega Aerial Refueling Services is now providing aerial refueling services for the MV-22B Osprey.  U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey aircraft from the ‘Golden Eagles’ of VMM-162 first received fuel from Omega’s KC-707 aircraft over the California desert on Friday, November 11, 2016.

Omega Aerial Refueling Services received an interim flight clearance (IFC) for aerial refueling services with the MV-22B Osprey on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. The operations team immediately began accepting requests to provide fuel to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps for ongoing Fleet exercises and unit level training.

Paul, President and Chief Executive Officer of Omega Aerial Refueling Services.  “We are honored to have supported the U.S. Marine Corps for over a decade, and are looking forward to expanding their strategic reach and land and sea-based rapid response to include Marine Corps assault support missions and the MV-22B Osprey fleet.”

Over the last 10 years, Omega Aerial Refueling Services has supported U.S. Marine Corps fixed-wing expeditionary land and sea based tactical aircraft such as Marine Corps F/A-18, AV-8B, and EA-6B. In addition to Marine Corps TACAIR, Omega provides support to all seven variants of the F-18 in service with the U.S. Navy. Omega Aerial Refueling Services plans to support domestic MV-22B operations, as well as operations overseas as required by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Omega Aerial Refueling Services is the only provider of commercial aerial refueling services in the world, and has completed more than 6,000 missions and delivered more than 226 million pounds of fuel. Omega offers a range of refueling solutions to the U.S. Armed Forces and U.S. allies across the globe.
