First Unmanned In-Flight Refueling
On April 22, 2015 an Omega KC-707 tanker successfully offloaded 4,100 pounds of fuel to the X-47B UCAS, surpassing U.S. Navy program goals. This demonstration marked the first time in history that an unmanned aircraft has successfully been refueled air-to-air, and is a ground-breaking step forward that will help determine the path of naval aviation in years to come.
