
MSgt Scotty O’Neil, USAF (Ret.)
Chief Boom Operator
A highly decorated U. S. Air Force veteran, Scotty spent his early career in Petroleum Oil & Lubricants (POL) supporting KC-135R/T and B1B aircraft. After retraining as a boom operator, he held positions from instructor through evaluator on KC-10A. Scotty was selected as a Formal Training Instructor and was at Head Quarters Air Mobility Command, where he served as Command KC-10A Evaluator. After retiring from the Air Force with over 23 years of distinguished service, Scotty joined OARS in 2021. He currently serves as Chief Boom Operator. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and 3 Associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force. Scotty has accumulated over 5,673 hours in the KC-135R/T and KC-10A during his career.
