Col Tony 'Ripper' Nerad, USMC (Ret.)
Director of Marine Corps Programs
A University of Minnesota graduate, Tony served as a Naval Aviator in the U.S. Marine Corps for nearly 30 years. During that time, Tony accumulated over 3500 tactical hours flying the AV-8B and the F-16C as an exchange pilot with the U.S. Air Force. Both ashore and afloat, Tony has supported multiple U.S. operations around the world and Commanded both VMA-211 and MAG-13, where he was also the AV-8B Type/Model/Series Lead for the Naval Aviation Enterprise. Additionally, he has served on the Staff of the Commander Naval Air Forces, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, and U.S. Forces, Iraq, and the Marine Corps Training and Education Command. Tony earned a Master of Science degree in Management from Troy University, as well as a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. He now serves as OARS’ Director of Marine Corps Programs.
