To apply for a position, candidates must have experience in the B-707/KC-135 and/or KC-10/DC-10 aircraft.

Minimum requirements for pilot candidates:

  • 2000 hours total multi-engine land time (3000 hours preferred)

  • Commercial Pilot License (with Instrument rating), ATP preferred

  • Type Rating(s): B-707/B-720, and/or DC-10

  • 1000 hours MEL PIC time (in type preferred)

  • Heavy aircraft flight time in the last 12 months preferred

  • FAA Second Class Medical

  • Security Clearance: eligible for Secret level with a current status (previous two years)

General requirements for all candidates:

  • Current, valid passport or other travel documents enabling the bearer to freely exit and re-enter the U.S. (multiple re-entry status)

  • Valid driver’s license

Candidates MUST send a current flying resume and introduction statement to the Office Manager. You may be asked to send an electronic copy of the Omega flight crew details form, a copy of your FAA license and medical, and verification of a current DoD security clearance as well.

Maintenance

The maintenance support to OARS is provided by our affiliate Omega Air, Inc, based in San Antonio, Texas. Due to mechanic training and non-travel related periods, it is strongly desired that candidates live in, or relocate to, the San Antonio area. A typical flight mechanic can expect to work 20 days on and 10 days off. Candidates for maintenance positions must submit a resume and copy of a valid A&P Certificate for consideration. Experience with B-707s, DC/KC-10s, KC-135s, is strongly desired.
