April 2020

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Omega Aerial Refueling Services is proud to share that it recently supported a Defense Support Civil Authorities (DSCA) mission carried out by the U.S. Marine Corps as part of the national COVID-19 response. On April 9, 2020, the Omega tanker took off and joined three MV-22 aircraft that had departed from New River Marine Corps Air Base. Omega then dragged the Marine MV-22s to Bedford, Massachusetts. There the MV-22 aircraft broke off to deliver much-needed COVID-19 supplies.

Omega normally supports primarily training requirements and long-distance drags, but is glad today to have had the opportunity support the U.S. military response to provide critical equipment to those most in need. Although Omega is fully capable of meeting real-world operational requirements, the company appreciates being given the opportunity to rise to the occasion. Omega appreciates the faith the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps placed in us to provide expert aerial refueling support during such a critical moment in history. Omega has offered any additional aerial refueling support needed and stands ready to meet additional operational requirements should they develop.
